F-Class World Championships – Team Practice Day
Worlds team practice day was held on August 10th. We were given a couple of hours to practice at each distance of 800, 900 and 1,000 yards, and the time flew by quickly.
Team shooting involves much more than just the shooters on the firing line. Everyone has a specific role to play, and practice gave us the opportunity to get in sync and fine-tune how we work together as a team. It also gave us a chance to discover some of the small details that could hinder our progress once the actual competition begins.
I was able to get some more up-close photos during our practice session. During competition, electronics are not permitted on the firing line, so photos from the actual matches will have to be taken from a little farther back.
The next three days will be the individual World Championship matches, followed by one final team practice day on August 14th. Then, on August 15th and 16th, it’s what we’ve all been preparing for—the F-Class World Team Championships.
