Alan Thibault

Shooter

Alan Thibault was born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, but his family later moved to Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, where he was raised. As a teenager, he balanced school with a strong commitment to hockey, playing competitively throughout his youth. After his hockey career came to an end, Alan turned his attention to the outdoors, developing a passion for hunting. It was during this time that he began gaining experience with firearms and marksmanship.

He started his professional life as a heavy equipment operator, and later pursued a college degree in industrial maintenance. Following his graduation, he joined Hydro Québec, where he built a successful 25-year career, eventually retiring as a regional dispatcher.

In 2015, Alan was introduced to F-Class shooting by his brother, Marc Thibault. That introduction sparked a deep and lasting passion for the sport, which he has pursued enthusiastically ever since
