Victoria Day Match at Borden

The Victoria Day Match is our season opener in Ontario for F-Class.  Three days of shooting, May 16-18. Very tough wind conditions all weekend.  It was a mix of head wind with dramatic switches left and right.  The biggest challenge was being quick enough to put a value on the wind and get on the rifle and shoot before the wind changed.  Many shooters couldn’t keep up to the changes, me included.

However, my shooting partner, Amelia Derk, had no problems with the wind reading and stayed on top of it.  She finished second overall.  She also had the highest V-bull count. Amelia is proving to be a strong competitor again for 2026.

Range at CF Borden, Ontario. Hosted by the Ontario Rifle Association
