Brian grew up on a mixed cattle farm in West Central Alberta where he spent many hours in the pursuit of deer, gophers and other varmints, as well learning how to hunt from his father.  After completing the Chemical Technology program at NAIT, Brian found work in the oil and gas industry which led him to Athabasca, Alberta.  It was there that he changed careers and started a construction company and still resides there with his wife Lorelei.  Brian has been competing as an F-Class shooter since October 2013.  He has competed at the Club, Provincial, National and International levels.  Brian is a member of the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association.  As an F-Class shooter, Brian’s most recent achievements are 3rd in Westerns in 2025 and National F-Class F-Open champion in 2025. Brian feels privileged to have been appointed Team Canada F-Open Captain for the 2026 World Championships.  Brian has worked together with the F-Open coaching staff and the shooters to bring together a championship level team.
