2026 F-Class British Open Competition – Bisley, England
The 2026 F-Class British Open got underway at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley, England, with practice on August 3rd followed by the first two days of individual competition on August 4th and 5th. The British Open International Team Match followed on August 6th, before finishing with two days of the British Open Individual Championship on August 7th and 8th.
With the F-Class World Championships beginning immediately afterwards, many of the international competitors are using the British Open as an opportunity to compete at Bisley and get accustomed to the range and its notoriously challenging conditions before the Worlds.
And challenging they certainly were.
The wind conditions during those first two days were more than I would call “sporty.” It was hot, dry and extremely gusty, with conditions changing quickly throughout the day. It made for some very difficult shooting and challenged even the best competitors on the range.
There were close to 140 F-Open shooters representing approximately 13 countries, giving the British Open a truly international feel and offering a preview of the level of competition we can expect when the World Championships begin.
Despite the difficult conditions, it was a great couple of days on the range and an incredible experience competing alongside some of the best F-Class shooters from around the world.
